Il Marroneto Brunello di Montalcino 2021 750mL
Overview The Wine
Where the towers of the city of Siena are the backdrop to the vineyards cultivated on the high slopes of the hill of Montalcino. This is the terroir where we move.
The vineyards extend over the northern slope of the Collina di Montalcino. It is a marine area, with marine and wind sediments, with the presence of sea sand mixed with various minerals.
The first 3000 meters of vineyard were planted in 1975, then, in 1979 as many and finally in 1984 the last 9,000.
Alessandro Mori since 1975, the year in which he planted together with his brother the first plot of vineyard, works in his company, represents the “historical memory” having participated in every step, every reflection and productive change.

Winemaker's Tasting Notes
Classic brunello, elegant and at the same time structured, was born from a winemaking suitable to fix as much as possible the scents of Sangiovese and therefore Also the typicality of the position. After months of passing in wood it stays fresh, fragrant, fruity, the aggression of wood does not suffer. Fantastic for moments of relaxation.
After a 2020 suspended between silence and rebirth, 2021 brought with it a new energy: a similar year in its balance, but warmer, more generous. Nature, after finding her breath, continued to Express themselves with strength and harmony. The vintage was characterized by a climate stable, dry, with an intense summer but never excessive.
The screws, now accustomed to living with the challenge of the heat, they reacted with matures perfectly balanced, giving clusters of extraordinary concentration and purity aromatic. If 2020 has spoken of introspection and finesse, 2021 does so with a sunlight, in natural continuity.
The Brunelli 2021 of Marroneto are born from this newfound harmony, wines of great elegance, with a decisive step, a wide weaving, a gentle tannic maturity that enhances its depth without loss in freshness.
