This Gentiane Liqueur is part of the legendary lineup that comes from the mysterious Carthusian monks who produce Chartreuse. Gentiane Liqueur des Peres Chartreux is made with Alpine gentian root (the same ingredient that gives the more mainstream Suze its earthy, floral bitterness.  It's the only liqueur produced by the Peres Chartreux that reveals its star ingredient, making it their most transparent (and paradoxically, least famous) creation since 1998.
