Yamazaki 18 layers dried and fresh fruit with chocolate, coffee and Japanese-oak aromas. Its long, spicy finish gives this mature single malt depth beyond the initial richness.

Flavor profile

Raisin, apricot and milky coffee on the nose, followed by blackberry, strawberry preserve and dark chocolate. The finish is long and spicy.

Pairing & serving

Serve neat in a tulip glass with water to add by the drop. Try with dark chocolate, roasted chestnuts or dried apricots.

After opening & when to enjoy

Keep upright, tightly closed, away from heat and sunlight. The spirit is ready to enjoy and does not continue barrel aging in the bottle. After opening, aim to enjoy within about a year for the freshest aroma, especially as the bottle empties.
