Macallan Double Cask 18 combines sherry-seasoned American and European oak. The two woods bring vanilla and citrus together with dried fruit and warm spice in a rounded Speyside malt.

Flavor profile

Dried fruit, ginger and toffee lead into raisin, caramel and vanilla. Wood spice and citrus carry into a warm, orange-accented finish.

Pairing & serving

Serve neat or with a few drops of water. Pair with fruitcake, toasted nuts or orange-accented dark chocolate.

After opening & when to enjoy

Keep upright, tightly closed, away from heat and sunlight. The spirit is ready to enjoy and does not continue barrel aging in the bottle. After opening, aim to enjoy within about a year for the freshest aroma, especially as the bottle empties.
