Kanosuke Pot Still Whisky 'Hioki'

A recipe of 90% unmalted barley and 10% malted barley sets Hioki Pot Still apart within the Kanosuke range. Vacuum distillation in stainless-steel pot stills and maturation in American oak create a whisky with citrus, vanilla and a candied-ginger finish.

Flavor profile

Stone fruit and fresh wood, followed by vanilla, marmalade and almond; a lingering spicy-sweet finish.

Pairing & serving

Taste neat before adding water. Pair with almond biscuits, apple tart or mild aged cheese. No decanting is needed.

After opening & when to enjoy

Keep upright, tightly closed, away from heat and sunlight. The spirit is ready to enjoy and does not continue barrel aging in the bottle. After opening, aim to enjoy within about a year for the freshest aroma, especially as the bottle empties.
