Ripe plums provide the foundation for Takovo’s traditional Serbian šljivovica. Fermentation and distillation concentrate the fruit into a brandy suited to a small aperitif pour or a toast at the table.

Serve lightly chilled with aged cheese, cured meats or roasted plums. Pour a small measure in a tulip glass to appreciate the fruit.

After opening & when to enjoy

Store upright, tightly closed, away from heat and sunlight. Ready to enjoy now; spirits do not continue barrel aging in the bottle. After opening, aim to enjoy within about a year for the freshest flavor, especially as the bottle empties.

No decanting is needed.
