Jordan Vineyards almost single-handedly put Alexander Valley on the map. Since the release of their first wine, the 1976 Cabernet Sauvignon, they've been a standard bearer for what this warm-climate corner of Sonoma County can produce. And year after year Jordan's Cabernets continue to deliver bold, ripe flavors beautifully polished with ideal balance for aging.

Grapes for this 2018 came from more than 60 vineyard blocks from Jordan Estate and 14 family growers. Lots kept separate by vineyard and given15 days extended maceration. Every lot was reevaluated after 12-days of primary fermentation. Malolactic fermentation was completed over 10 days in upright oak casks before assemblage to create the final blend of 80% Sabernet sauvignon, 11% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot and 2% Malbec. Aging was in 100% French oak for 13 months; 35% new and 65% one-year-old barrels.

Wine Enthusiast Magazine scored this 90 points saying "Blending in 11% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot and 2% Malbec, this elegant wine displays the great conditions of the vintage, allowing blackberry fruit, fig, cedar and a note of dark chocolate to mingle over a medium-bodied palate of refined tannin and oak."
