The Nebbiolo grape is the star. 

Barolo or Barbaresco, both command a minimum aging time of 3yrs and 2yrs respectively.  Langhe Nebbiolos dont see such strict requirements but offer lots of value for the money.  Rosso di Vallentina are made from Nebbiolo as well only from land further north.
