Brachetto d'Acqui is a bit retro and old fashioned as far as wine styles go. However, this deeply loved sweet sparkling red wine taps right into some of the most heartfelt traditions and cultures of Piedmont. The Marenco 2020 Brachetto d'Acqui Pineto opens to a very light ruby color, with simple aromas of wild raspberry, cassis and bitter almond. The acidity and fresh beading would make a great partner to a raspberry and cream custard tart.
