Talisker 30 Year Old

This mild-mannered, more mature Talisker, is elegant, scented but with plenty of personality and unmistakable character. Serving Suggestion:  A rich and smooth Talisker which should be enjoyed in a Talisker Rocks Glass, neat or with a little water.

Appearance

Full gold.

Body

Medium-bodied and viscous with long legs.

Nose

Mild and unusually fruity, fading quickly into lush seaweed with charred sticks. Becoming soft and very slightly waxy or creamy, like fudge.

Palate

The smoke is immediate and dry with creamy oak. Almond milk and light, sweet stone fruits emerge, joined by a trace of salt.

Finish

Long, gently warming, with a lingering maritime aftertaste and just a white pepper tingle on the tongue in place of that chilli ‘catch'.

TALISKER is the only Single Malt Scotch Whisky made on the Isle of Skye besides the shore of Loch Harport in the jagged shadow of the peaks of The Cullin.

Founded in 1830 by Hugh MacAskill, TALISKER distillery remains faithful to traditional valuves. A hundred and eighty years of knowledge has been passed down through generations of distillers.

The result is this much prized whisky, described by famous Scottish poet Robert Louis Stevenson as the "the king o' drinks". Made by the sea in every sense, the powerful peat smoke and maritime character of TALISKER reflect its storm-lashed surroundings.
